First Ride

We had the first ride of the year at Savannah on April 19^th.  It was a nice day for the first ride, just a little warm. It was my first time at a Savannah. It took me a few laps to figure out the jumps. I was able to do all the double jumps and a couple of the tabletops. There were about 34 riders, so the track got a little rough later on in the day.  There hadn’t been any rain for several days, so the track was a little dry. The owner said that he will have it groomed better for our next ride May 3^rd.  So if you didn’t get to the April 19^th ride, try and get to the May 3^rd ride. Ride Schedule

The ride scheduled for Saturday July 5^th will probably be changed to Sunday July 6^th at Broome-Tioga. This will be confirmed and will be updated on the website schedule. As always remember to check the hotline before any ride.

Flagging

The renewals have been coming in and the flagging schedule is filling up pretty well. Still need some people to flag on Friday at Unadilla. If you have down other days to flag, but could come on Friday please let us know. There is always somebody that can’t make it last minute and is nice to have some people to contact if needed. Remember, in order to ride Unadilla we have to fulfill our commitment to flag. This is our first year of flagging the Unadilla National and we want to make sure to do a good job. The membership requirement is two days, but depending on how many members we get we may have to look for some members to flag more than the minimum.

Membership

At the last meeting we handed out brochures and posters with club information on them. If you need any please let me know and I will send them out to you. Email me at gburns@stny.rr.com or call 607-786-0676. I will also make sure to have them with me at the rides. Just let me know if you need some.

Next SATRA Meeting

Our next SATRA Meeting will be held on Monday May 5th, 2008 @ 7:00 PM at the Fayetteville Village Hall, top floor. The Village Hall is located on Route 5 (425 E. Genesee St.) next to the fire station adjacent to Friendly’s. Parking is behind the building. Enter through the door way located in the back, (parking lot level), go up the stairs to the 3^rd floor and to the right, into the court room.
